What does end-to-end encryption actually mean here?
Your files are encrypted in your browser before upload. The server stores only encrypted blobs and metadata — it holds no keys and no readable image data. Even with full server access, no one can view, index, or train on your photos.
What happens if I lose my keys?
We cannot recover them — that’s the security model. At signup you generate a backup key sheet you must store safely. Lose it and your archives are unrecoverable.
Can clients really browse without slowing down?
Yes. Previews are small, optimized WebP thumbnails decrypted locally in real time. Clients get a fast, beautiful gallery; masters stay encrypted until you release them.
How is this different from Dropbox or Google Photos?
